40 Years Jewelry Appraisal Experience

Member National Association of Jewelry Appraisers

-Having one's fine jewelry appraised can be a daunting task.  You ask: Who can I trust? Where can I find a qualified and reliable appraiser?  How do I know I'm getting accurate information?   How much will it cost?  Do I have to leave my jewelry overnight?

-Many jewelers advertise that they do appraisals, but most have little , if any, professional gemological training, and even fewer have training in the fundamentals of appraisal practice and ethics. And the ones who do have professional appraisal services require that you leave your merchandise for anywhere from a couple of days to several weeks, and frequently your valuables are sent off-site.

-For the past 40 years I have been appraising fine jewelry, gemstones, and timepieces in the Sacramento market area.  I maintain a gem lab in my home office in Citrus Heights.   The examination of your valuables is done while-you-wait to insure that the appraisal experience is convenient and stress free.  For most items the examination process takes 45 minutes to an hour.

-My training is on going in gemology and appraisal discipline through the Gemological Institute of America and The National Association of Jewery Appraisers (www.najaappraisers.com).

-I charge by the piece, never according to value,  My fees are competitive, consistent with my level of experience.  Please call or email me for quote.

Thanks, Sam
